The art galleries of Post and Sutter Streets have united once again to open their doors for the San Francisco Gallery Art Walk. The event will be held Saturday, March 24th, from 12pm to 5pm.

The San Francisco Gallery Art Walk provides an opportunity for the public to freely tour prominent San Francisco galleries in a relaxed, interactive manner. Maps will be given to participants so they may locate and leisurely peruse each of the nine galleries on the itinerary. Hundreds of paintings, sculptures, and mixed media works from diverse genres will be on view by both established artists and exciting up-and-comers. As well as being a thrilling tour for art enthusiasts, the Art Walk allows collectors to shake hands with gallery owners and discover new works to add to their collections.

Select venues will feature live music and performance art. Complimentary refreshments and wine will be served to all guests, and coupons for local eateries and shops will be offered.

In addition to being an exciting event for art lovers, the Art Walk also benefits our community. In each gallery, an “art box” will be set up to collect new art supplies to distribute to public elementary schools in the city. Art Walk participants are highly encouraged to bring art supplies to donate.

The San Francisco Gallery Art Walk is a free, self-guided, and public event created to enable the Bay Area public and visitors to explore the dynamic arts community hosted by internationally acclaimed galleries of the Union Square district.

Downtown Union Square is easily accessible by MUNI and parking is available at the Sutter-Stockton garage.
